About OMA SchoolO.M.A School first began as O.M.A Gardens, a well-known landmark in Muthupet, which was started by the founders of the school, Oviachelven, Muthuselvi & Anish (O.M.A). The school is an educational project that comes under 'The Anish Charitable Trust' that was started by Mr. Oviachelven. The trust aims at improving the overall quality of life of the underprivileged.
The 16-acre school has been set up with the vision of providing high quality yet affordable education to the children of the small towns in Tamil Nadu. An education that can give them a strong foundation so that they can be equal to their urban counterparts.
Set amidst the lush greenery of Muthupet, O.M.A School aims to have all the amenities of a modern urban school. The school boasts of highly qualified teachers, state-board syllabus, large airy classrooms, huge play area, school vans for pick-up and drop, to name a few. The school is also in the process of extending their board from 8th standard to include matriculation.
The Founder
The school is the vision of one of the Managing Founder of O.M.A School, Mr. Oviachelven. R
Mr. Oviachelven. R has been one of the top minds in the Indian Advertising Industry with over 35 years of experience. He is the Managing Director & Creative Director of Rainmakers India and the winner of some of the most prestigious awards in the advertising industry.
His journey started in Chennai where he did his schooling from the famous Adarsh Vidyalaya and obtained his degree from College of Arts & Crafts in Visual Communication.
He has since then worked in USA, and played pivotal roles in India as the Creative Head at O&M, Lowe Lintas and Bates. He has contributed to top Indian and International brands. He also has ample online experience with Planetasia, India's first and foremost web solutions house. Coming from a strong corporate background, Mr. Oviachelven now has the vision of giving back to society through 'The Anish Charitable Trust'. He also has a vision of setting up an Institute for Branding and Advertising to share the wealth of knowledge he has accumulated in his years in Advertising. The Co-Founder
Mrs MuthuSelvi Oviachelven has a few years of experience with managing the school day-to-day activity, She has a strong understanding of the education process and believes in combining the ancient art of Guru- Shishya with the modern technology-driven education system.
Mrs MuthuSelvi .O has obtained her qualifications through a Bachelor of Arts (BA). She shares the vision of the school and aims to make her students strong and future-ready for the New India. The Correspondent
Mr. R. Swaminathan is a leading educationist with over 31 years of experience in school service. He has various degrees under his belt that include M.COM, B.Ed, D.Art. and C.L.S.
His time in the Education field gives him a unique perspective on teaching and learning. He believes that curricular teaching needs to be complemented by practical learning so that students can grasp the true understanding of the syllabus. Mr. Swaminathan also understands that each child is different and the teaching method must be altered according to each child's needs.
As the Correspondent of O.M.A School, Mr R. Swaminathan aims to make his students not only good in academics but also good citizens of the Future India.
